Very happy with the services provided
Cox Electric put in our Generac whole home generator. We had to wait awhile because of supply issues, but it was worth it. They upgraded our electric system, which was quite a chore, but they worked with us and made some modifications at our request regarding the location of the transfer switch. Everything went very smoothly. The day the generator was activated was also very smooth, the technician went through everything in a clear and concise fashion. Very happy with the services provided!

Cox replaced my 16+ year old Generac with a new model and I am very pleased with the job and all the team members I met. The owner, JR, was always available when I called him. The office staff was responsive and scheduled everything perfectly. My old generator was not level so the Cox delivery team re-leveled the (very heavy) existing pad before placing the new unit. The existing gas piping was very fragile, but the Cox pipe fitters came in and re-piped and everything is now solid and neat. The electrician reconfigured the specific circuits on the generator to match my changed needs. And the service tech put the unit under a load test and answered all my operational questions. The new generator definitely puts out cleaner power than the dinosaur I had. I didn't realize there were so many logistics and tasks involved in generator installs. The Cox team handled them all very well and kept to their schedule. Thanks to all.
Great company, really impressed
Used Cox electric when my generator failed to start when we lost power. Called Cox and they came out and fixed the problem and did a maintenance on the machine which we previously never had. The technician was knowledgeable and explained everything and seemed passionate about his job. I was very satisfied and I’m going to sign a yearly maintenance contract with the company. This storm, with the weather being -6 out my moms generator did not work. I called cox for an emergency service and they came out within an hour and fixed the problem . She has now signed on to be a customer. She said her technician was great. My in laws will be calling them next week to sign on as well. Great company, really impressed.
Excellent job of communicating
Cox Electric installed our whole house Generac generator. They were very professional and completed all work in a timely fashion. When Jeff came to start up the generator he detected a possible problem and alerted us to it. He brought in m his master electrician and together they were able to identify and rectify the issue in a timely fashion and get the generator up and running without issue. He did an excellent job of communicating with us.
Awesome company
I really had a fantastic experience with Cox Electric. The entire process was just seamless they took care of everything. I did not have to worry about the permits, inspections as well as meter upgrades. The very best part of the experience was the people that work for the company. My very favorite people of all were the elections Carl and Joe. In the very last phase was the start up date and they went over absolutely everything and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company just AWESOME!!!

Jeff from Cox Electric Company in N.Kingstown came for my annual generator service. He came at the precise time promised, explained what he was going to do and gave me a time frame for the service. While there, he told me about a product to make the generator more user friendly and also took the time to look up my warranty status. I ended with a contract extension and a new way to communicate with the generator. Jeff fully explained the process and answered all of our questions. This was a great opportunity to take full advantage of our generators capability and to meet a truly professional. I would highly recommend Cox Electric if you are looking for anything that involves generators. Jeff put our minds at ease.

We had Cox Electric and a couple of others give us a quote on a new whole home generator and Cox won the job. They were out a few different times because of our circumstances and every different person that showed up for whatever stages that had to be done were fantastic!!! Very professional and had every answer to every question we had! Sometimes I feel that people leave bad reviews without communicating an issue first and giving them the chance to make it right, just keep that in mind when reading any bad reviews on these guys because I didn’t see ANY behaviors that would warrant that out of these guys. Thanks for the great job guys!!
